I made this pattern after a piece of woven tapestry from about 1625, made in Germany. The original is in Museum The Burrell Collection in Glasgow. The pattern is very clear and printed on 6 sheets A3.The instructions ( very few) are in dutch. If you like to make a miniature tapestry the embroidery has to be done on silk gauze of 54 or 48 HPI.Or you can use this pattern to make a full size tapestry and embroider with wool.
